
Funeral services for Wilma Hines, 85, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Bamberg, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening in the funeral home. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
Mrs. Hines, widow of Tommy Hines, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012. Born in Augusta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Marcellus Foster Radford and Allie Frith Radford. She grew up in Augusta, and graduated from Tubman High School. She moved to Bamberg, SC in 1967, and was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church, where she assisted in the church library. Mrs. Hines was a retired seamstress and also worked at Fryeβs Drive In in Bamberg, helping Mr. William and Ms. Eula. After moving to Lexington County, she was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Hines was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and trusted friend.

Survivors include: son, Marcellus James (Marie) of Zephyrhills, FL, daughter, Beverly James of West Columbia, son, Tracy βTreyβ James of West Columbia and daughter βadopted through loveβ Mary Jane Morales of West Columbia; brother, Rev. Carl Radford (Mary) of Flowery Branch, GA; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hines was preceded in death by sisters, Maytrel Blume, Virginia Adams; brother, Bill Radford; son, Herschal James; daughter, Pam Smoak, and grandsons, Kenn James and Matt Hoffman.Β
