Car Show to Raise Money for Lexington County Sheriff's Department SWAT Team

The show will feature play equipment for children, a DJ or band and barbecue plates for sale.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department is holding a car and motorcycle show Saturday to raise money for its Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). 

The show will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1765-A Augusta Highway. Admission is free. 

Play equipment will be set up for children, and a DJ or band will play music during the event. A barbeque meal will be available for $7.50 per plate, with the meal including barbeque, baked beans, cole slaw and a drink.

Registration for the show starts at 9 a.m. The fee for each car entered in the show is $15, and the fee for each motorcycle entered is $10. 

Judging starts at 12 p.m. The winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Trophies will be presented to the first 30 people who enter a car or motorcycle in the show. All participants will receive a certificate.
