Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Train

Phillip A Stout, 22, died after he was hit by a train around 5 p.m. Thursday.

The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a train Thursday evening in Lexington was 22-year-old Phillip A. Stout, Lexington County Cororner Harry Harman said.

Stout was walking eatbound in the center of the track near S. Lake Boulevard and Railroad Avenue when the train hit him around 5:05 p.m., Harman said. He was wearing headphones and dark-colored clothing.Β 

He died at the scene from severe head and body trauma, Harman said.

the Lexington County Coroner's Office and the Lexington Police Department are investigating the incident.
