Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run

A 48-year-old Lexington man was hit and killed by an unknown driver Saturday night while trying to cross Augusta Road, Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman said. 

Aaron Tyrone McGlon was crossing the road around 6 p.m. when he was struck by a dark-colored, four-door sedan traveling north on Augusta Road, Harman said. The car left the scene.

McGlon suffered from multiple body trauma, Harman said, and was prounounced dead at the scene. 

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the incident.
