County Council to Hold Public Hearing on Dog Park Ordinance

Lexington County Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday on an ordinance to authorize the Town of Lexington to lease land from the county for a future dog park.

The public hearing starts around 6 p.m. after county council's regular meeting. The regular meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. at the County Administratin Building at 212 S. Lake Dr.

The ordinance would authorize the town to lease 8.9 acres of land on Hendrix Street from the county. It also requires that the land be used as a pet park.
