Deputies Arrest Man After Pawn Shop Burglary

Deputies say William Scott Belue ran his truck into a West Columbia pawn shop last month and tried to break in.

Deputies arrested aΒ Lexington man Tuesday who they say .Β 

William Scott Belue, 38, turned himself in to the sheriff's department Tuesday on an arrest warrant charge of second-degree burglary.Β 

Deputies say Belue went to Y B Broke Gold & Pawn on Augusta Road on August 31 and tried to sell an item, but management at the store didn't buy it.

Later that day, Belue came back and ran his Ford pickup into the front of the store, according to the sheriff's department. He then unsuccessfully tried to break into the store by using a screwdriver to pry open the front door. Β 

Belue is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. Β
