Detectives Seize 13 Illegal Gambling Devices
The machines were found at bars in Lexington, Swansea and West Columbia.

Detectives and SLED agents seized 13 illegal video gambling devices Thursday from two bars near Lexington, one bar near Swansea and one bar near West Columbia, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.Â
They also seized a total of $590.25 in cash and coins.Â
The detectives took three Rush-Tel tabletop gambling devices and one Mega Touch Chug Monkey tabletop gambling device from Anthony's Bar at 1121 Calk's Ferry Road, according to the sheriff's department.

They also removed one Mega Touch Chug Monkey tabletop gambling device, one Mega Touch Live tabletop gambling device and one CA Nexus gambling device, as well as $65.75 in cash and coins, from The Bar of Lexington at 1668 Two Notch Road, according to the sheriff's department.
The detectives also took five free-standing, cabinet-style illegal gambling devices from an enclosed room at The Barn bar at 706 Jim Rucker Road in Swansea, according to the sheriff's department. They also seized $517 in cash.

One illegal gambling device and $7.50 in cash was also taken from S&E Rack and Grill at 4643-C Edmund Highway in West Columbia.Â
A Lexington County magistrate determined Friday that the 13 devices are illegal gambling devices subject to seizure by law enforcement. Under South Carolina law, a magistrate must determine the legality of each gambling device.
