Free Document Shredding Day

Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union is holding no-cost shred events on the third Tuesday of each month from March through November. 

This month's event is at the Red Bank Service Center at 1835 S. Lake Drive. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Someone can steal your identity and rack up thousands of dollars against you just by going through your trash. The Federal Trade Commission suggests shredding the following documents to protect your identity.

• Expired Credit Cards


• Checks and Account Statements


• Copies of Credit Applications


• Credit Offers You Receive in the Mail


• Physician Statements


• Insurance Forms


• Charge Receipts
