A former leader of the Parent Teach Organization at a Lexington County school was sentenced to two years in prison and five years probation after she pled guilty to stealing money from the group, according to a report.

Tonya Timmerman, 34, who worked with the PTO at Batesburg-Leesville Primary, admitted to taking more than $23,000 from the organization, according to a report in The State newspaper.
