Gilbert High Health Science Students Deliver Holiday Gifts
The students delivered chemo packs to patients at South Carolina Oncology Associates and poinsettias to residents at Lexington Medical Center Extended Care.
Health science students in Gilbert High’s clinical studies class experienced a different form of caregiving when they delivered holiday gifts before their winter break.
The students delivered 100 Chemo Packs to patients receiving chemotherapy at the South Carolina Oncology Associates. Members of the Gilbert High HOSA chapter donated the packs that included hand sanitizer, tissues and holiday treats to help combat side effects of chemotherapy treatments.
Then, the students delivered poinsettias, grown by Derrick Cooper’s Agricultural Science class at Gilbert High, to residents at the Lexington Medical Center Extended Care.
