Halloween fun is in store from the Lexington County Public Library.

Spooky stories, crafts and, of course, candy. It's Halloween at the main branch of the Lexington County Public Library.Β

Oct. 20

Dia de los Muertos: This fall family celebrationΒ will feature bilingual storytimes, crafts, songs, and refreshments.Β 

So the Story Goes: Join the library at Virginia Hylton Park for ghost stories about spooky things that go bump in the night! Local storytellers will spin tales of fright and delight. Not recommended for the faint of heart or for children that scare easily.Β

Oct. 30

Superstitions in Lexington County:Β J.R. Fennell, director of the Lexington County Museum, will discuss the superstitions and the belief in ghosts in 19th century Lexington County.

Halloween Storytime Special: The library will hold three Halloween-themed storytimes for children of different ages. The first is for kids between 12 and 23 months. The second for kids between 24 and 35 months, and the third for kids between 3 and 6 years old.
