INTERACTIVE MAP: Is Your Neighborhood A Flu Hot Spot?

You haven't seen your neighbor in a few days. Could they have the flu? One website is trying to track that.

Flu Near You is mapping submitted cases of the flu so people can see if their neighborhood is a "hot spot."

See a map of flu cases in your area.

To participate in Flu Near You, you must fill out a survey about whether you have the flu or flu-like symptoms. Once you confirm your e-mail address, then the website will map your location. Scan the map to see if your neighbors are infected.

Of the 422 South Carolina participants, 122 reported symptoms of the flu, Flu Near You reports.
