Lake Murray Elementary Students Collect Coats for Kids

Two students at the school started the "Give a Coat, Warm a Kid" project.

Seth and Luke Hendley, brothers who attend Lake Murray Elementary School, surpassed their goal of collecting 200 coats by synergizing with their fellow Lake Murray Elementary Mariners.

Luke and Seth made a collection box and sent fliers home with students. Then, the coats started pouring in. A community partner, Tripp’s Fine Cleaners, will clean the coats and distribute them.

The “Give a Coat, Warm a Kid” project at Lake Murray Elementary demonstrates how Lake Murray Elementary students put into practice the 7 Habits they learn through The Leader in Me program.
