Lexington Baseball Team Ranked No. 5 in Preseason Poll

The Lexington High School baseball team is ranked No. 5 in Collegiate Baseball’s 2013 Preseason National High School Baseball Poll. 

Head Coach Brian Hucks, who begins his second season at Lexington, guided the Wildcats to a 27-4 overall record last spring, the Region 5-AAAA title with a 10-0 league mark and the finals of  the Lower State playoffs. 

The team was ranked No. 1 earlier this week in the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association preseason poll.

The Wildcats take on  Spring Valley at 5 p.m. at home on Feb. 4 in the first of four scrimmages. Regular season play begins on March 4 when Lexington plays host to Irmo at 7 p.m.
