Lexington Elementary Students Collaborate with USC Pen Pals

The students exchanged math journals weekly and wrote to each other about what was happening at their schools.

Lexington Elementary fourth-grade students paired up with University of South Carolina mathematics students as pen pals.

The pen pals exchanged math journals weekly throughout the school year. In the journals, they worked math problems, encouraged each other in their school work and wrote to each other about interesting things happening at their schools.

At the end of the program, Lexington Elementary students met their pen pals at a celebration planned by the USC students.
