Lexington High Baseball Team to Host 'Finish It 4 Kennedy 5K Race'

The 5K race will raise funds to help cover the costs of medical treatment for Lexington middle-schooler Kennedy Branham.

The Lexington High School baseball team is continuing its support for Kennedy Branham, a Lexington middle-schooler undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor. 

The baseball team will host the "Finish It 4 Kennedy 5K Run/Walk" at 10 a.m. Feb. 9 at Lexington High. The registration and sponosorship forms are attached to this article. 

The 2012 Wildcat baseball team showed their support for Branham by shaving their heads, dedicating their championship run to her and selling "Win It 4 Kennedy" t-shirts.

Branham, a student at Lexington Middle School, was diagnosed with brain cancer in February 2012. Since then, community groups, family and friends have organized fundraisers to help her family cover the costs of her medical treatments.
