Lexington High Girls' Golf Team Invited to National Tournament

The team will travel to the 2013 Antigua National High School Invitational in Arizona.

After completing another successful season, the Lexington High School girls' golf team recently received an invitation to the 2013 Antigua National High School Invitational in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The team is the first South Carolina team to compete at the invitational, which is the only national tournament for high school girls. In the past, this tournament has included top teams from Arizona, Florida, Nevada, Texas and Hawaii, and more than 200 junior golfers.

In October 2012, the LHS Girls Golf team claimed the 4A State Title for the eighth time in nine seasons. The team shot a two-day 607 and beat second-place Spartanburg by 43 strokes. Team member Sydney Legacy won the tournament’s individual medal with a 36-hole score of 144.
