Lexington Man Arrested in Meth Lab Bust
Officers say William David Langley, 42, was operating a meth lab at his home on Lantern Hill Circle.

Officers arrested a Lexington man who they say was operating a meth lab in the garage of a home on Lantern Hill Circle near Lexington.Â
William David Langley, 42, is charged with manufacturing meth, possessing a firearm during commission of a violent crime and possessing 28 grams or less of marijuana.Â
Deputies responded to a call about suspicious activity at Langley's home at 181 Lantern Circle around 3:43 a.m. Sunday, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department. When they arrived, they smelled a strong chemical odor outside the residence and requested help from the Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET).

NET officers executed a search warrant Sunday and found Langley in the detached, two-car garage with a reaction vessel containing a mixture of chemicals that was producing meth, according to the sheriff's department. Langley also had a Hi-Point .45-caliber pistol and a small amount of marijuana in two plastic bags.
Officers arrested Langley and took him to the Lexington County Detention Center. He was being held Thursday on bail totaling $25,620.
