Lexington Man Killed in Fatal Crash Sunday Morning

The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol

A Lexington man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Highway 378.

Woodruff Duke, 24, died at the scene from severe head and body trauma, Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman said.

The crash occurred just before 6 a.m. Sunday on Highway 378 near Peachland Road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.Β

Duke lost control of his 1995 Chevrolet Camaro, crossed the center line, and ran into a ditch on theΒ westbound side of the road, according to the highway patrol.

He was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
