Lexington One Offers Free Meals for Children During Summer

The program is for children 18 year old or younger and runs through August 1.

Lexington One is offering free, healthy meals to children who live in the district's attendance areas. 

The Summer Food Service Program started Monday and runs through August 1. Children 18 years old or younger can get a morning snack between 10 and 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday and lunch between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. 

Meals are served at three Lexington One schools:

  • Gilbert Elementary School (for students that attend Gilbert Elementary, Gilbert Middle, Gilbert Primary and local non-profit daycare centers)
  • Forts Pond Elementary School (for students who attend Forts Pond Elementary, Pelion Elementary, Pelion Middle, Pelion High and local non-profit daycare centers)
  • Saxe Gotha Elementary School (for students who attend Carolina Springs Elementary, Saxe Gotha Elementary, Red Bank Elementary, White Knoll Elementary, White Knoll Middle, White Knoll High and local nonprofit daycare centers)
