Lexington One Students Win Awards at Skills Competition
Students from the Lexington Technology Center and from White Knoll High brought home first-place awards from the SkillsUSA South Carolina Championships.
Ten Lexington One students won first place awards at the SkillsUSA South Carolina Championships.
The state-level competition featuring more than 80 hands-on skill and leadership contests for student in trade, technical and skilled instructional programs.
Lexington Technology Center students Amber Caviness, Dalton Dunlap, Kaitlin Finklea, Natalie Palumbo, Blake Reeves, Katelyn Taca and Javier Vazquez won first place.

Adam Stevens, also a Lexington Technology Center student, won the SkillsUSA 2013 National T-Shirt Design Competition. He received $1,000 to attend the SkillsUSA 2013 National Conference where he will be recognized during opening ceremonies.
In recognition of Stevens’ success, the LTC Digital Art and Design training program will receive a $5,000 grant to upgrade software and purchase supplies.

Two White Knoll High students in the drafting class also won first place at the competition. Michael Caraballo won the technical drafting championship, and Wade Toomey won the architectural drafting contest.
