Lexington One Students Win Holiday Artwork Contest

Two students' artwork was featured on the district holiday card.

Middle school students from across the district competed for the chance to decorate the district’s annual holiday card this year, and, for the first time, judges selected two pieces of artwork for the card.

Pleasant Hill Middle eighth-grader Brandon Trumbauer put a holiday spin on the traditional Lexington One “L,” making it look like a candy cane. His art teacher at Pleasant Hill Middle is Joanna Alford.

Lexington Middle eighth-grader Hayli Stratton drew a colorful mix of holiday images including a snowman, a Christmas tree, a candy cane, a gift and a gingerbread man. Her art teacher at Lexington Middle is Jessica Hawthorne.
