Lexington Police Department Starts Collecting for Toys for Tots, Harvest Hope

The police department is collecting toys and food for families in need during the Christmas season.

The Lexington Police Department is once again helping makeΒ Christmas brighter for local children by serving as a Toys for Tots collection point thisΒ season. The department will also be collecting food for Harvest Hope Food Bank this year

From now through Dec. 20 residents may drop off new, unwrapped toys atΒ the police department office in the Lexington Municipal ComplexΒ 

All toys collected will go to the Midlands Toys forΒ Tots campaign. Non-perishable food items (canned or dry goods) will be accepted for theΒ Harvest Hope Food Bank at the police department also.

The police department will also have special collection efforts to stuff the SWAT van on theΒ following dates and times at these locations:
