Lexington Teen Arrested on Child Porn Charges

An 18-year-old from Lexington is charged with 11 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

A Lexington teen was arrested Tuesday on child pornography charges, according to the S.C. Attorney General's Office. 

Scott Eric Fernquist, 18, is accused of uploading images on April 6 of girls between the ages of 4 and 14 being sexually assaulted by adult males, according to the Attorney General's Office.

Fernquist is charged with 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor second degree, a felony offense punishable by two to 10 years imprisonment on each count.

The case originated as a CyberTip from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children. The Lexington Police Department, a member of the Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, arrested Fernquist.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
