Lexington to Hold Candlelight Vigil for Newtown Shooting Victims

The service will start at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Lexington Square.

Lexington town leaders, pastors and community members will gather Sunday for a candlelight vigil honoring the victim's of last week's mass killing at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

The service will start at 5:30 p.m. at Lexington Square next to the county courthouse, and will last about 30 minutes. Pastors from the "Together for the City" coalition of churches will pray for the families who lost loved ones. 

Town council also issued a resolution Thursday extending their condolences to the Town of Newtown and urging citizens to offer their support and prayers for the survivors and the families of victims. See the full resolution attached.
