Lexington Wildcats Wrestling Team Headed to State Championship
The Wildcats will face Rock Hill High School Saturday at Dreher High School.

The Lexington High School wrestling team will fight Rock Hill High School for the 4A state championship title Saturday.Â
The Wildcats improved their record to 27-2 after they beat Summerville 33-25 Wednesday night in the Lower State championship match.
The state championship match starts at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Dreher High School, where second-ranked Lexington will face first-ranked Rock Hill.

Rock Hill last took home the 4A state championship title in 2009, according to scmat.com.
The Wildcats have made it to the Class 4A state wrestling final three times since 2006, according to The State, but the team has never won the state title.
