I am running for Lexington County Council because I want to see to it that the citizens in District One may get fair representation that emphasizes Economic Prosperity in the Southend of Lexington County. The Southend is lacking of many amenities, infrastructure, and public safety personel. I am willing to put in the time and effort to see that our communities have the facilities we need to make a healthy and better quality of life. These are some of my priority objectives and goals: 1. Creating Jobs 2. Public Works (Infrastructure and Development) 3. Increase Community Awareness & Involvement thru Community Meetings, Various Programs that interest our Citizens (i.e. workshops, small gardens, craft/skill setting) 4. Youth and Senior Activities, and 5. Renovation and Add Recreational Facilities & Parks 6. Work with the Sheriff's Dept to Increase the Safety of Our Citizens! Increase Patrol Officers , Resident Deputies , and Code Enforcement for Speeders and Traffic Violations. CRIME WATCH Groups and Community Meetings are essential means of communication to all our residents and the Sheriff's Dept. 7. SOLID WASTE / TRASH - Reduce Our Expenses by burying Less of it! Encourage Incentive Programs for Recycling! Educate & implement Composting and Rain Barrels! Encourage All Aspects of Our Communities to Get involved in this effort.... Citizens, Businesses, Governments, and Schools, as well 9. Animal Control Cooperative Improvement I am looking forward to addressing these key issues and serving the citizens of District One.
