Oak Grove Elementary Representatives Visit Washington to Receive Blue Ribbon Award
The Oak Grove Elementary principal and a fourth-grade teacher traveled to Washington, D.C. for the official presentation of the school's National Blue Ribbon School Award.

Congressman Joe Wilson recently congratulated Oak Grove Elementary Principal Sherry Cariens and fourth-grade teacher Faye Jones on the school receiving a National Blue Ribbon School award.
Cariens and Jones traveled to Washington, D.C. for the official presentation of the award that took place during the 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools awards luncheon in November.
The Oak Grove Elementary students, teachers and parents learned that the school had been named a National Blue Ribbon School on Sept. 7 when the U.S. Department of Education released the list of winners.
