• Lexington 1 weighs procurement changes following executive order (lexingtonchronicle.com) — Lexington County School District One leaders are debating whether to pause their minority business contracting preferences after Gov. Henry McMaster’s new executive order on race-based procurement. Board members tabled a decision until January, worried that changing too quickly could hurt local projects but waiting could force costly rebids. District staff say they still lack clear guidance on how the order applies to Lexington One.
