Police Arrest 2 After Seizing Video Gambling Machines in Springdale

Police are also looking for a third suspect who they believe was involved in operating the gaming house on Wattling Road.

Springdale Police arrested two people and are looking for a third suspect after they raided a video gambling and drug house Wednesday on Wattling Road.Β 

The house was one of four places where officers confiscated gambling machines Wednesday.Β .Β 

Darryl S. Taylor, 47, and Gregory Guess, 47, are both charged with operating a gaming house at 1103 Wattling Road and narcotic possession.Β

Police also issued an arrest warrant forΒ Sharon D. Curry, 43, who will be charged with operating a gaming house.

The machines were found when police served a search warrant Wednesday morning following a two-month-long drug investigation, Springdale Police ChiefΒ Kevin Cornett said. Lexington County deputies assisted with serving the warrant, and SLED agents were called in when the gaming devices were found.

Officers also found marijuana, pills and more than $3,000. Eight gaming machines were seized from the house.
