Surveillance video shows that McClain and his girlfriend exited the school around 9:06 a.m. and stood out front, according to the report. As they exited, McClain slid the brass knuckles onto his hand.Â

Witnesses notified a Lexington Police Department officer who was working an off-duty assignment at the school about the incident, according to the report. When the officer walked outside, McClain and his girlfriend were in their car and the victim was in his car.Â
The victim told the officer that McClain had a set of brass knuckles wrapped up inside a shirt inside the car, according to the report. The officer asked McClain to step out of the car, but he didn't get out. Instead, he put the t-shirt on top of the car.
When McClain did get out of his car, the victim also got out of his car, according to the report. The two started arguing again, and McClain "assumed a fighting position with closed fists" and tried to attack the victim, according to the report.Â
The officer was forced to push McClain back to stop him from attacking the victim, according to the report. Several other officers were called to the scene.Â
McClain told officers that the victim was antagonizing him and trying to start a fight, according to the report.Â
McClain was arrested and booked at the Lexington County Detention Center. He was released Friday on a bond of more than $9,000, according to court records. He was also placed on trespass notice from Lexington Elementary.Â
