Report: Employee Steals Hundreds of Lotto Tickets from Lexington Store
The owner of C-Mart on Two Notch Road told deputies that an employee stole 360 lottery tickets July 16, according to the sheriff's department.

Thousands of dollars in lottery tickets were stolen from a Lexington convenience store on Two Notch Road on July 16, according to an incident report from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.Â
Deputies responded to a larceny call on July 19 at the  at 658 Two Notch Road.Â
The store's owner told deputies that an employee stole 360 scratch-off lottery tickets valued at more than $3,600, according to the report. The owner also told deputies that the employee stole money from the register.

The employee's cash drawer came up short on July 16 and 17, the owner told investigators. The employee also rang up fradulent refunds for items in the store and kept the cash, according to the report.Â
The owner told deputies he had contacted the lottery commission about the incident.Â

An arrest hasn't been made, deputies said. The sheriff's department is investigating the incident.
