Report: Lexington County 911 Coordinator Punches Boy in Face

The incident happened at The Wild Hare Sports Cafe on Feb. 1, according to information obtained by WIS-TV.

Surveillance video obtained by WIS-TV shows Lexington County 911 Communications Coordinator Nikki Rodgers punch a 14-year-old boy in the face after her son got into a physical fight with the boy at a Lexington restaurant.Β 

The video shows that Rodgers, who is the daughter of Sen. Jake Knotts, and her son were at TheΒ Wild Hare Sports CafeΒ on Feb. 1 when two boys walked in, according to WIS-TV. Rodgers' son gets out of the booth where he was sitting with his mother and starts punching one of the boys in the face.

After Rodgers and several other customers separate the boys, Rodgers punches the boy in the face, according to WIS-TV. The video ends there.

Lexington Police responded to the incident and filed a report, according to WIS-TV. It is unclear if charges have been filed.Β
