Report: Lexington Man Dies in Crash on Virginia Interstate
The man died Friday in a crash on I-77.

A Lexington man died Friday after a series of crashes on a Virginia interstate, according to a report.
William Petty, 57, was a passenger in a car that crashed traveling north on I-77 in Carroll County, according to the Associated Press. The car hydroplaned, hit the guardrail and and stopped on the interstate facing the wrong way.Â
Petty and the driver made it out of the car safely, but when Petty went back to get some items from the car, two tractor trailers hit the car, killing Petty, according to the Associated Press.Â
