Reports: Lexington Attorney Accused of Extortion to Get Psychiatric Evaluation
Richard J. Breibart of Lexington is headed to a federal medical center for an evaluation, according to reports.

A Lexington attorney who is accused of taking more than $1 million from his clients by threatening them with made-up charges will undergo a psychiatric evaluation, according to reports.Â
Richard J. Breibart is on his way to a federal medical center for the evaluation, U.S. Attorney General's Office public information officer Beth Drake told WIS. For safety reasons, Drake couldn't say which of the four medical centers Breibart is headed to, but said it's not unusual for it to take several days. Â
As of Thursday, Breibart's status as a federal inmate was still listed as "in tranist," according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website. His status first changed to "in transit" last week, according to WIS.Â
