Our campaign is focused on restoring integrity to our local government; keeping taxes low; providing safe neighborhoods; and a responsible approach to managing Lexington's growth and transportation infrastructure needs. Scott has many years of experience successfully handling multi-million dollar budgets and projects, managing hundreds of employees and contractors, and delivering results. Scott and his wife Kathy are the parents of two children who attend Lexington High School. Scott is active in community economic development, workforce development and educational initiatives, and presently serves on the boards of the Central SC Alliance, the Central Carolina Community Foundation, Midlands Regional Education Center, Midlands Technical College Foundation and Lexington Technology Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Advisory Board. He is the past Chairman of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Secret Cove Homeowners Association. Scott helped lead the effort that resulted in bringing over 2000 Amazon jobs to Lexington County, and is active in developing and growing local small businesses. He is the recipient of the 2010 Outstanding Business and Industry Friend of Career and Technology Education Award from the SC Association of School Administrators for his work promoting internship and career opportunities for Lexington High School students. He is the recipient of the H. Odelle Harman REACH Award for educational and community humanitarianism in Lexington County.
