Sheriff's Department Donates More Than 1,000 Pairs of Socks to Children in Hospital
The Lexington County Sheriff's Department and Lexington County School District One collected the socks and donated them to children with cancer.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department in partnership with Lexington County School District One donated 1,200 pairs of new socks to children who have cancer and who are undergoing treatment at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital in Columbia.
The socks were collected during the Socks to Sole Drive. Citizens donated new pairs of children's socks at Gilbert Elementary, Gilbert Primary and Gilbert Middle schools.
Children who are undergoing medical treatment for cancer often experience cold feet, and socks help keep their feet warm.
