Sheriff's Department to Host Trail of Treats
The event will be at the Wildcat Hollow Stadium on Ballpark Road.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department is hosting a family-oriented Halloween event so that children can celebrate the holiday in a safe environment.
The fourth annualΒ Sheriff Metts Trail of Treats will be between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. October 27.
Children who are 12 years old or younger will be able to collect free candy from vehicles parked at WildcatΒ Hollow Stadium on Ballpark Road near Lexington. The cars, trucks and other pieces of equiment will be decorated with a Halloween theme. Β

The Trail of Treats will featureΒ entries from the sheriffβs department, other governmentΒ agencies, businesses and community groups.Β
Deputies with the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) andΒ K-9 Unit will conduct demonstrations during the event.Β

Admission is $1 per child.Β Parents or legal guardians are asked to accompany children attending the event.
All proceeds from the Trail of Treats will be given to charitable causes.Β
