Town Council to Discuss Residential Chickens Ordinance Again

The ordinance that would allow residents to raise a few chickens closer to their homes is up for discussion at Monday's work session.

An ordinance that would make it easier for Lexington residents toΒ raise chickens in the town limitsΒ is up for discussion again.

Town council members will discuss the ordinance during a work session Monday. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Eli Mack Room at the Lexington Municipal Complex.Β 

Council voted 6-1 last week to send the ordinance back to work session after two residents raised concerns about having chickens in neighborhoods.
