Town of Lexington Considers Charging Organizers to Hold Events

Event organizers planning functions in the Town of Lexington may have to pay in the future, according to a report. 

Town officials are considering charging organizers for the town's serivces, such as traffic control and trash clean-up, according to a report on WACH Fox. They say each event costs the town about $5,000. 

The town has 18 events scheduled this year, according to the report, which is an increase from last year. 

Town officials discussed the issue at last week's work session, and plan to further discuss it at next month's meeting.
