Troopers Seek SUV in Lexington County Hit-and-Run
The SUV is dark-colored and may have damage to the right front or front, troopers say.
The S.C. Highway Patrol is looking for an SUV wanted in a hit-and-run that left a moped driver seriously injured.Â
The crash happened around 9:12 p.m. June 12 on Platt Springs Road, according to the highway patrol. The SUV was trying to turn left into a convenience store when it hit a moped traveling east on the road.Â
The SUV fled the scene of the crash, troopers say.Â
The moped driver, Dustin McDonald, was seriously injured and is in a coma, his mother Shan Jennings said.
"It's going to be a long road to recovery," Jennings said. "He's getting better, but he's not okay."
Troopers are looking for a dark-colored SUV that may have damage to the right front or the front of the vehicle. Still shots of the SUV involved in the crash are attached.Â
