West Columbia Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect

Police are searching for a white male in his 40s who they say demanded money from BB&T in West Columbia.

The West Columbia Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that happened at the BB&T at 2404 Sunset Boulevard Tuesday.

The suspect is a white male in his 40s, Chief Dennis Tyndall said. He is between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs between 220 and 240 pounds.

The suspect presented a note to a teller demanding money just before 2 p.m., Tyndall said. It is unknown at this time if the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle.
