'Wine on the River' to Benefit Cancer Patients
Proceeds from the event hosted by the Lexington Medical Center Foundation's Women of Hope will go to the Cancer Care Fund at Lexington Medical Center.

The Lexington Medical Center Foundation’s Women of Hope will host “Wine on the River” at the West Columbia Riverwalk Saturday.
The event that will feature wine tasting, food sampling and musical entertainment combined with the sights, sounds and scenery along the Congaree River.
The evening will benefit the Cancer Care Fund at Lexington Medical Center, which provides resources, supplies and services to cancer patients in need in the community.

The wine tasting will be provided by in Lexington and offer a variety of red and white wines. Guests can also sample delicious food from local restaurants including , Dupre Catering, , Village Catering, Alodia’s and Café Strudel.
Jim LeBlanc, a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Columbia, will entertain with music throughout the evening.

Women of Hope is a women’s giving circle that is part of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation. Established in 2011, the goal of Women of Hope is to identify health issues in the Midlands and work to bring about positive change. People attending “Wine on the River” can also learn how to join Women of Hope.

Attendees can purchase beer during the event, but food and wine is included in the ticket price.
