  1. Amid record levels of resignation in South Carolina, wages in Myrtle Beach have increased by 20 percent over the past two years — the highest in the state. Statewide, overall wages have risen by approximately 9 percent in that same timeframe. “With such a lucrative job market, the state’s unemployment rate recently fell to 3.3 percent," said DEW Labor Market Information Director Dr. Bryan Grady. "While there has been an increase in job turnover, the data clearly indicate that the number of people working in South Carolina has never been higher." (WBTW)
  2. Louisiana-Americana franchise Walk-On's Bistreaux is set to open a second location in the Myrtle Beach area. The restaurant's newest home will be in front of the Shoppes at South Strand Commons, across from the Surfside Target. The Myrtle Beach Walk-On's is expected to open to the public this July.   3. A Thursday afternoon fiery crash near Myrtle Beach has injured one, according to Horry County Fire Rescue. Crews responded to a call of a single-vehicle crash just south of Myrtle Beach State Park; one person was reportedly trapped inside the car, which caught fire. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the incident. (WBTW)
