5 Things to Do in Summerville This Weekend

Looking for something to do besides weekend chores? Check out these activities.

  • The Ambler Hall Band plays 7 p.m. Friday at Coastal Coffee Roasters. The Ambler Hall Band will be performing an eclectic mix of Blues, Rock, Country, Traditional and Original tunes in one of the hippest venues in Summerville. This is a free event. Click here to read more.
  • Go dancing with Shagging at the Pavilion 7 p.m. Friday at Summerville Country Club. Music provided by DJ Jim Bowers and Carolina Soul Band. Cost is $20 at the door, dinner included. Call Lee Hoff for more info at 843-214-0242, or visit www.summervilleshaggers.com.
  • Help out Dorchester Habitat for Humanity with Quarter Frenzy starting 6:15 p.m. Friday at the Azalea Room on Ladson Road. In a quarter auction, people bid on items using quarters. Anyone who wants to bid on an item will place one or more quarters in a bucket and the winner is picked at random. Come get in on the deals and steals!   • Go antiquing along the Sweet Tea Trail 1-4 p.m. Sunday. Local antique dealers invite the public to come browse their shops on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Traditional iced sweet tea is served. Click here to see the list of participating antique shops.  
  • Greg Neff plays 11 a.m. Sunday at Single Smile Cafe. Neff is a singer/songwriter and guitar player, he specializes in Folk/Rock music of the 60’s and 70’s. This is a free event. Click here for more info.
