All Summerville Runners OK After Boston Marathon Blast

Beech Hill Elementary nurse Maureen Bodkin and her son are OK after explosions at Boston Marathon; Lauren Jaynes and Jessica Farmer also uninjured.

The three Summerville marathon runners at the Boston Marathon Monday were unharmed in the explosions. 

Two are reported to have been killed, and many more are reported to be injured.

Beech Hill Elementary nurse Maureen Bodkin, who earned accolades for qualifying for the run earlier this month, and her son, who was not running in the race, are reported to be OK and safe from harm.

Two other Summerville runners Lauren Jaynes and Jessica Farmer posted to their Facebook pages that they are OK.

There are finish times for Bodkin and Jaynes, but not for Farmer. Bodkin finished her race minutes before the explosions happened. Farmer was at her last check point 4 hours, 21 minutes in to the race (the explosion occured at around 4 hours, 9 minutes into the race).
