County Mulls Limiting Dogs on Residential Lots
Dorchester County Councilman Larry Hargett says hunting dogs are becoming a nuisance for neighbors.

Dorchester County Council might look at limiting the number of dogs allowed on residential properties, the Journal Scene reported.
During the last Dorchester County Council, Councilman Larry Hargett brought up the issue.
“I know we’re going to get pushback from some people, but some people are going to love it,” he said, according to the Journal Scene.

The issue has arisen out of the Old Fort Estates area where neighbors have complained about a person keeping a large number of dogs that allegedly bark incessantly.
