Inventory Management Company to Create 35 Jobs

An inventory management company will create 35 jobs and invest $250,000 in Dorchester County, company and state officials announced Monday.

Advanced Inventory Solutions Inc., a provider of inventory auditing services, announced that it has located new operations in Summerville.

“Our new location in Dorchester County provides an excellent opportunity for our company. We look forward to building our business there and adding new customers in the area,” said Tim Bayer, president of Advanced Inventory Solutions, in a news release.

Advanced Inventory Solutions has located new operations in an existing building in Summerville.

The company will provide physical inventory auditing services to retail customers, such as grocery stores, convenience stores, pharmacies and specialty retail stores, among others, according to the release. 

The new operation represents Advanced Inventory Solutions’ first location in South Carolina.  

“We are delighted and very proud Advanced Inventory Solutions has chosen Dorchester County for their location,” said Chairman Larry Hargett of Dorchester County Council. “Their decision is a testament to the quality of our community and the determination of the team that worked to make this investment possible."  

Lynn Willard, vice president of asset management for Piggly Wiggly, said the Charleston-based grocery store chain was looking for an inventory solutions provider.

“We needed a company that would provide us with the most accurate physical inventory count, give us a higher level of technology and truly partner with us in those efforts," Willard said.
