Ladson Man Found Dead in Kansas Jail Cell
Suicide suspected in death of John Meredith Hodges, accused of killing a Grand Stand doctor in 2012.
A Ladson man awaiting trial in a Kansas jail for a 2012 Myrtle Beach murder has apparently killed himself, the Post and Courier reported.
John Meredith Hodges was found unresponsive Monday, and his death is being investigated as a suicide.
Hodges was being held in Kansas after Myrtle Beach law enforcement said he murdered Dr. Franchesca D. Brown of Myrtle Beach before fleeing out of the country.Â
