Update: Man Shot in Robynwyn Wednesday

Update 2 p.m.: Summerville Police say a man was shot during a burglarly at 100 Myrtle Place at around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Wendy Lee of Dorchester County EMS has told Patch that the man shot is in serious condition but "doing well" and was transported to the hospital. 

Witnesses say between two and four people, described as males in black or camoflauge clothing and wearing masks, were seen leaving the scene of the incident. 

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call851-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.

Multiple media outlets are reporting a shooting and a manhunt underway near the intersection of Shamrock Drive and North Maple Street. 

Four people are sought in connection to a 10:30 a.m. shooting Wednesday. A man was shot in the abdomen and transported to the hospital in serious condition, according to the Post and Courier. 

The Journal Scene has reported the shooting happened during a home invasion.
